WOW, so I'll post what the distiller says about the product then I'll give my two cents.

As I Stated on the show, this is a deeply rich whiskey with a lot of character. Yes, you get the hints of vanilla but that's not the major tone that hits you. The smokey oak flavor along with the straight rye flavoring is intense but not over bearing. This drink has a smooth aftertaste that really isn't over powering. I thoroughly enjoyed this whiskey straight or on the rocks. It was just a pleasant drink all the way around.
