Let's Start at the Beginning
Burke and Scott met at The University of Akron in 1987. Scott had just graduated from Medina Senior High School and Burke had already been at the Zoo for a year. Both Scott and Burke had the same class together and the teacher would do roll call everyday in the beginning of the year. First Burke would be called then Scott, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I remember Burke asking me if I had ever played Euchre before. I was befuddled with curiosity about this Euchre thing. So Burke introduced me to the Guzzetta Hall Atrium, this was the downfall of my college career. Burke and I spent so much time together, we started to become really good at Euchre. I could guess what he had in his hand the majority of the time. Well after my third week at Action Zoo our professor final asks "Are you two related?" the answer "Why yes we are, we're brothers!" So it began, The Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants.
Burke has stayed my friend through the years. He was my best man at my wedding, he was my best friend during my divorce. Drinking several bottles of wine in my basement to relieve the torn heart that I had. In the end Burke has been the closest thing to a best friend that I've ever had. This could be because we only talk once a week, but I digress.
We have lived apart now for almost thirty years now and it seems like yesterday. I called Burke in October of 2021 and asked him if he would be interested in doing a podcast with me. I think he was reluctant at first but soon molded into the best co-host I think I could ever have. The show itself is based on Ohio, Motorsports, Movies, good bourbon, the 80's, and all around good fun. So go ahead grab a beer, a glass of wine, sit back, and listen!
